Dramalics For fhe 'firsl lime in lhe hislory of AUHS a dramalics class has been organized fo encourage s1'uden+s lo parlicipafe in various plays. ln +his school year, +wo one-acl comedies were given. They were The Trysfing Place and The Ring and fhe Look. Bolh were a parl of fhe Fall Frolics of '46 and The Ring and fhe Look was a pari' of fhe exchange assembly sponsored by fhe Execulive Council. The Ring and 'l'he Look was por+rayed as follows: Tommy Tuflle, Larry Leverenz: Marion TuHle, Peggy Dodge: Clair, Belly Vaden: Doris, Marilynn Brown: Evelyn, Juel Simpson: Mrs. TuH'le, Barbara Marlin: Billy Marlin, Max Dee: Maids, Pal Jarvis and Doroihy Dulifz. The Ring and +he Look was fhe play picked for exchange assembly program. These as- semblies were presenled fo four dif-Fereni' schools, Cambria, San Luis Obispo Junior High, Tem- ple+on and Shandon, ai' lhe early pari of I947. Miss Rulh A. Doser, direclor of The Ring and lhe Look, accompanied +he lroupe fo 'ihe various fowns. The o'I'her sfudenfs who parficipaled in lhe assembly were: Dona Edinger, playing a piano solo: David Baro, singing lwo solos, accompanied by Shirley Kuhnle: Vera Langworlhy, playing fwo frumpef solos: Mary Ellen Dulaney, singing iwo solos. Mr. Wallace has been reading arficles io fhe class on fhe plays appearing in 'l'he big name fheafers of roday and some of fhe inferviews given by famous sfage sfars such as Kafherine Cornell.
