I, Sharon Hogenson, leave my ability to write notes and get by with it, to Loretta Strobel. With this you won't have to do any talking. I, Floyd Schock, will my height to Myron Rau, with this added to your own, you should make an outstanding football player. We, Loretta Klipfel, and Evelyn Miller, will our singing ability to Vivian Walz, with this added to your own, you should hit broadway. I, Annetta Maier, will my giggle to Alvera Jenner, may you use it as often as I do. I, Melvin Baumann, will this, True Experience, to Tennis Knoblich, may it bring you as much happiness as it has me. I, Iver Walker, leave my girl troubles to all the junior boys, may you find a better solution for them than I have. We, Viola Sayler and Violet Zimmerman, do bequeath our quiet little voices to Edrie Henne, May you make good use of this gift, I, Genevieve Retzer, give my chubbiness to Norma Eisenbies, Take care of it Norma, you know fat is precious. I, Melvyn Walz, will my debts to Connie Drey. They include a five-cent charge slip for a sucker and an IOU note to Clarence Klipfel, which states: IOU one kick in the pants before May 30. You had better take care of this, Connie. To Lila Kappas, our faithful office girl, goes this sharp everlasting pencil. If you don't lose it, it should last you for nine months. To Miss Measer we give this stick of gum so she can keep company with the rest of the seniors in the ll'o'clock study period. To Mr. Nehrenberg goes this squirt gun to awaken the students school spirit. If you use cold water that should help. We, the Senior Class of 1948, wish to present this comic book to Mr. Robin- son. This should furnish plenty of smiles for your future classes. To Mrs. Delzer we will this muffler so she won't have to disturb other classes when trying to Keep Order in the senior assembly. K As a token from the senior class we present this teaspoon of sugar to Miss Angeline Kraft. It will keep you your own sweet self, and keep you gentle and beau- tiful. We present this hair ribbon to Miss Polries with our compliments hoping this will enhance the beauty of your hair and hoping this will give some beauty hints to the high school girls. We are sure that Mr, Stow will appreciate this rattle from the senior class. With this he can amuse his child during his leisure time.

CLASS PROPHECY Ever suspect that I have dreams ? Well, yes I have--in fact I am rather great at them, but the one I had last night beat them all--it was rather amusing fin its wayjg on the other hand--well, you be your own judge. It all began in this way, as every senior, I have had but one ambition in the recent past, which you all know is graduation. Even if my conscious mind forgot to let me think beyond that week, my subconscious mind has taken me to the Who's, What's and Where's of the Class of '46 in about the year 1960. What a world I saw: I wish more of you could have had the pleasure of seeing it. Since you didn't, I will tell you of it. The greatest movie center of the midwest, Ashley, was a busy scene with the activities of our great celebrity I-Ielmuth I-Iuber's 'opening night' for his first successful movie entitled The Wild Calls' . Without my telling you so, you must know that it was a good picture, for the leading man was our dashing Floyd Schock, not only a great actor of his day, but also a notable man of the city of Ashley for he owned half of it. Acting opposite Mr. Schock was Miss Priscella Hogen, We formerly knew her as Sharon Hogenson. The movie deal was a good subject but dreams are dreams and they head from one thing to another. I am sure I shivered in my sleep when I heard a grinding sound zooming from an upper story apartment window on Hall Street. Upon inspection I found that it was only our famous dentist, Donald Fisher. His victim was Pearl Bertsch. I-Ie was trying to fill her false teeth. After conversing with Mrs. Wilbert Sayler, the former Gertrude Martz, who was now Dentist Fisher's part-time assistant. I learned that Jeanette Baumann was now manager of a small and orderly cafe on the next block. Though profits were very small Jeanette enjoyed her work for she could have all she wanted to eat and dating was her one and only hobby. Long Lake is a cute little place not very far from here but last night I saw it as a very important metropolitan area, and in the heart of the city I saw within a spacious church Pastor Milton Schauer aglow with religious ardor. From care- fully polished shoes to his well-groomed curling mustache Pastor Schauer was sway- ing the congregation with his thrilling experiences. The Pastor was particularly aroused by the recent divorce scandal of Irene Krause, and the wedding bells again tolling for her. The Schauers seemed to have succumbed to the art of religion for in my dream I saw LeRoy Schauer performing the baptismal ceremonies in St. Paul's Church at Austin, Minnesota, from where his pretty young wife stemmed. Loretta Schauer was a successful missionary in Hawaii lecturing to a young group of fuzzy haired natives--she loved them all: Olga Dobler, I-Qvelyn Miller, Gladys Nitschke, and Violet Zimmerman call themselves the Cackling Gal Incorporated for they have established themselves in Danzig, North Dakota. They specialize in White Leghorns and Rhode Island Reds. Iver Walker and Walter Breitling have taken up farming. Iver has been fair- ly successful, but Walter believes in taking one day of the week off, rain or shine, to argue with the county agent Fannie Beglau, on better methods of farming, mostly for the sake of his fondness for arguing, so he hasn't been quite so successful as Iver. Even though teachers have made us all rather edgy in the past, and we have all vowed never to teach, I saw last night-plain as daylight-Genevieve Hilscher, her pretty dark hair graying at the temples, sitting before the huge senior class of 1960. The class was noisy, but Genevieve had decided to say no niore for she said to her- self, Seniors are Seniors .
