'V . , l Y'T 5 'Mt 'IAi ? 7 ' N Y f' T 1 if 'Y CLASS HISTORY In 1928 a class entered for the flrst tlme Ashland Consolldated School Thls class began w1th Mrs G W Bloodworth and contlnued untll the class called her members 1nto the fourth grade Mrs Bloodworth gave a few of us the firm foundatlon on whlch we are now standmg and golng forward Thls class passed on 1nto and through the fourth grade with a new teacher Mlss Mltchell Passlng 1nto the flfth grade the class had called m a new member Frances Burt Frances IS now one of the asslstant edltors of The Yearlmg and Most Dlglllfled Senlor of 1941 When the class en tered the slxth grade another new member Mary Moody Johnson had Jomed us Mary Moody IS now Mlss Ashland Hlgh School one of the ed1 tors of The Yearlmg and class poet The class passed through the seventh grade wlthout notlce to any other than our new teacher Mlss Randle Durmg the early fall of our elghth year ln school a new Method1st preacher was sent to Ashland brmglng hls daughter Mary Helen Nanney to Jom us Mary Helen a very talented glrl IS now one of the feature ed1 tors and chorlster of the class of 40-41 James Faulkenbery busmess manager of The Yearlmg and Neatest boy 1n our school moved mto town and Jomed our llttle class ln the same year The class was gradually grow 1ng with splendld characters In the year 37 38 the class went 1nto hlgh school and called her mem bers after her and Sald Lo we are more than when we flmshed grammer school She then called the roll and found these were added Valera Melton one of the asslstant edltors of The Yearlmg' Roy Raxnwater now 40-41 class presldent productlon manager of the 41 yearbook also Mr Ashland Hlgh School Mmme Sue Epperson prophetess and one of the art edltors of 40-41 Nylene Lowl y Gu'l Reserve reporter for The Yearlmg' A great many new act1v1t1es entered our horlzon as our flrst year ln Hlgh School proceeded Th1s class made hxstory by belng the fust freshman class to be mltlated A 44.4 5.44454 ,AAA A 44....4..p.44.Aa.As...A.a.
