Junior-Senior Prom Highlights The Year Saturday nighr. May 2, rhe juniors presented rhe rrodirional annual Conquer and Prom ro rhe seniors. The high school caferorium was Transformed inro a Tropical Paradise” — rhe rheme — by rhe use of rainbow srreomers, o founroin filled wirh goldfish, and palm rrees sketched on mulri-colored paper covering rhe walls. Guesrs, greeted wirh leis and kisses by sarong-dad beauties and beach boys, were escorted ro rabies for six which were covered wirh pasrel dorhs, brighr yellow napkins and program booklets Sand candles served os centerpieces. The evenr was dedicated by Anne Sharruck. Junior Gass President Gisele McMinimy extended rhe welcome Senior Gass Presidenr Keno York gave rhe response of behalf of rhe seniors and orher guesrs. Sophomore servers, dressed in Hawaiian ourftrs ro suir rhe rheme, danced ro The Tide is High” by Blondie Phyrhm boys Sreven Peed, Michael Still, Mark Isenborr, Shane Messer, Joe Durrs, and Kurr Hill also provided accompanimenr. Tom Gilmore, junior doss sponsor, gave rhe Invocation. Dinner consisted of Tropical Dream, Nui Salad, Kalua Pig, Akamai Poraroes, Mailai Deans, Aloha Polls, and Painbow Cake.
