These dexives will help hoys and girls share their thoughts more readily and make themselves understood. Certain meehanirs are essential in learning any art. hut they are not the most important t-onsiderations. The speaker must learn the tneehanit-s of dietion. artirulation. poise. rhythm. and pronunriationg hut in addition he must learn to he t'onx'int'ing. CRIH OF MAN Dehaters Gott, Patton, Chellgren, and Steeves strive to add one more trophy to the collection already won by various speech participants. Under the supervision of Mrs. Marguerite DelVet-vhio over sixty students have participated in the speeeh program at A.H.S. Public speaking events on such suhjeets as demotfraey, optimism. and the i-onstitution provided an opportunity for students to express their opinions effet-tively. Nlany participants proved they profited from their training when they ret-eived superior and exvellent ratings at regional and slate speech tournaments. Speerh training vannot he underestimated in modern eommunit-ation. Put me down tor discussion. These active N.F.L.'ers never miss an opportun- ity to compete for honors or gain points.
