CAGER The l948 49 Basketball season got under way wlth a fast s art with only one man returnlng from th flrst fave and another letterman from the flrst en The team as a whole was very short the only tall m n belng Wllllam Stambaugh and Carl Walls who were over 6 feet The sharpshootnng of two hotshot forwards and the reboundung of the center and guards kept the team In the game flghtnng until the flnal gun The flne performances of two forwards were very outstandlng In every game they played Rich ard Coatman was the most outstanding forward nn the state He IS good at all tumes Robert Rankes was hot at tlrnes but cold at other times He wnll be a valuable man to have back The season ended wlth lO wnns and 6 losses There wall be fnve letter men back wnth three regulars from the flrst five , h ..
