Physical Education The Physical Education Department this term has tried to make different activities available at the same time. Instead of limiting ourselves to the seasonal sports, we want our classes to have the opportunity to choose from several activities. In the fall some classes are playing basketball or football, using the weight room, wrestling, or playing volleyball. The Universal Weight Machine has been very popular with a lot of the physical education students and is being used frequently. Other activities made available during the year include table tennis, horseshoes, pole vaulting, high jumping, paraIlel'bars, and the side horse. Fine Arts sv QQSPNXW Fine Arts at Ashbrook continues to grow as stu- dents become concerned with a more comprehen- sive high school career. Opportunities in drama are complemented by sequential courses in band, cho- ral music, and visual arts. Concerts and art shows are familiar on the Ashbrook campus since about one out of every five students is involved in a fine arts course. cxwswfwi SN'

Driver Education Driver Education is required as a phase of general education which meets a pressing social need. lt is only natural that high school youth be prepared to drive safely in a society which depends on the motor vehicle so extensively.
