Cadinef The Student Cabinet functions as the central government of the student body. Much like its national counterpart, it rep- resents the leadership of various phases ofsocial and polit- ical activities. Representing the political phases are the President, titular head of the governing processes, the Sec- retary who records the progress and achievements of those processes, and the Treasurer, dispenser of funds according to the established economy. Representing the social phases are the Athletic Director who plans and leads the athletic program, the Chaplain who heads student religious services, and the Vice President who directs planning of the student social activities. STUDENT GOVERNMENT The student body opens and closes 'Y democratic doors to student govern- X ment. Nominations are by student 'VE' y petitions,and election is determined by preferential ballot. ln addition, each class elects its own representa- tives to the Inter-Group Seminary Committee. Student body meetings are held at least quarterly in which each student has an equal voice and vote. cgnfer - roula eminarg ommiffee The Inter-Group Seminary Committee has been organized as a steering committee for the purpose of joint consideration of problems common to the administration and student body. lt is a discussion group where matters of mutual concern are aired and possible solutions suggested by the various groups represented . There are three representatives each from the Board of Trustees, Administration, and faculty combined with nine representatives from the student body, making a committee of eighteen members.
