■ 'UBI The Arvada West Theatre Department under director David Jay Helm opened another suc- cessful theatre season with a good old-fash- ioned melodrama entitled Deadwood Dick or the Game of Gold by Tom Taggart as the fall production. The production was one of total involvement from the crew, actors, and the fun seeking audience, both nights who re- sponded with standing ovations for the out- standing professional efforts by the actors which has become a tradition of our theatre. The set, which was designed by senior David Deanwith assistance from junior Sylvan Ruud, was commented to be the best set ever built at Arvada West. To sum up, it was another in a long line of superior productions pre- sented by the Arvada West theatre depart- ment.
