We, the year- book staff, hope the 1954 Panorama will completely fulfill the definition. "'-Q-.X - in Ri A AM S Principal MABEL H. PARKER Principal Mabel H. Parker, our principal, was edu- cated in the Maryland Public Schools. She received her masters degree from the Uni- versity of Maryland. Mrs. Parker is devoting her life to the education of Arundel County children. She formerly taught in the ele- mentary schools of Millersville, Severn, and Odenton. Before assuming the principalship of Arundel High, she was principal of Odenton Jr. High. at Fort Meade. She is a member of the honorary educators sorority, Delta Kappa Gamma. Mrs. Parker is working tirelessly to build an educational program for Arundel stu- dents as fine as the building which houses them. While Mrs. Parker enjoys reading and gardening for relaxation, she finds most of her "leisure" time given to supporting school activities: dances. plays and games. :ea- x lf" Vice-Principal JESSE L. CLAYTON Vice-Principal Thirty-odd years as a ucrackin' good" math teacher in school and college, sixteen of them as a school administrator, is the in- spiring record of our vice-principal. His teaching career began in a little red school- house in Kentucky, includes years at Georgia Tech., the Naval Academy, and thirteen years as principal of old Arundel. Besides his teaching and supervisory duties, Mr. Clayton has served for more than twenty years as Sunday School Superintendent and leader of church youth groups. For fun, Mr. Clayton makes tables of all sizes in the woodshop. There is no longer time for his former hobby, fishing. core 8th grade scxence ,Ir H1 Dancmg Club Herald FERNAND BONNOTTE Western Md Wllllam 81 Mary AB MA 9th rade Math l'rench Booster Club Odenton Md BASIL BURT ON xv of Md BS ln 1 E Shop Vlsual Ed Hereford Nld JEAN CARLTON 1V of Md BS NIS Vo Ag FFA at wood Md WALTER E CARROLL East Stroudsburg Pa BA Health Phy c Boys Othclatm bambrnlls Md 'Dil RUBY COLLIER Buffalo State Umv Geneseo State BS BLS E as HELEN COLE 453 Emory 81 Henry BA 'ID Core 8B Math .I High Cheerleadmg Club Chxlhowne Va XYX JOHN E COX Temple Umv Ithaca College BS MS Muslc Banl Dtr Glen Burme Wld KATHERINE DINKINS Emory Sz Henry Umv of Va BA Eng 10 81 ll Sr Dramatlcs Chllhowle Va JAMES WILSON DUNAGAN lllmols St Normal Umv Eastern St BS 9th grade core world hlstory psycholo y tvarslty as ketball coach?
