Fireplace Motto, Author Unknown Home Economics Department Someone once said that a woman,s place is in the home. Today, with women playing such an active role in business and industry, it is question- able whether this is still the case. However, every woman must know something about homemaking. At A.L.J. classes are conducted in the culinary art, in sewing, and in the management of the home. Frequently an enticing aroma from the foods room pervades our hallowed halls.
