Mrs. Polonsky, in conducting her art classes, instructs the talented as well as the untalented, in the finer points of drawing, painting, and arts and crafts. Mr. Maloney helps to improve the reading skills of the slow reader and to increase the retention powers of forgetful readers. This year Ms. Vasta has two Classes of Beauty Culture majors. INDUSTRIAL ARTS The students enrolled in the Industrial Arts Department are trained to be skilled mechanics, work on metal and wood projects, and can be excellent carpenters upon graduation. HOME ECONOMICS The girls in the Home Economics Department learn the arts of housekeeping, sewing, cooking, and home management. This year the home management classes went to K005 Brothers to. look at furniture arrangements so that the girls Will be able to plan their future homes more Wisely. MUSIC To the delight of many, our Music Department puts on a Christmas Concert and a Spring Con- cert each year in the Johnson auditorium. Its efforts, however, are not confined to the limits of the school building, The band, under Mr. Jupina's direction, plays at all our football games and giyes concerts at the elementary schools in Clark and Garwood.
