INDUSTRIAL ARTS The wide variety of crafts taught in the Industrial Arts Department otters students at AU a splendid opportunity to acquire new skills. The Auto Shop, Cabinet Shop, Machine Shop, Crofts Room and Mechanical Drawing Room are available to those who seek them. Individuals from the Industrial Arts Departments in our Regional School system combined to form on exhibit that was shown at the Industrial Arts Convention in Asbury Park. BUSINESS EDUCATION Students in the Business Education Department have been trained to accept qualified positions in industry upon graduation. Special skills were ottered to them along with regular academic study. Field trips to Bell Labs and other companies in the area acquainted these people with available business opportunities. OFFICE STAFF Our skilled Office Staff is an important asset to the smooth functioning of ALJ. These women handle all school bookkeeping and clerical work. Also, they are important in promoting good public relations for our high school. GUIDANCE As s'udents confusedly try to plan next year's curriculum they invariably look for help. This help is expertly offered by our school Guidance Department. These spe- cially trained counselors also aid students with college plans and often Fund positions for members of our Business Education and Industrial Arts Departments.
