BOARD OF EDUCATION Leads Citizens To Bond Victory SAGINAW TEACHERS’ CLUB officers in charge of Business, Industry and Education Day discuss arrangements for the program. They are, left to right: MR. SAGINAW TEACHERS spend the first week in the fall listening to ex- perts, getting a cue for emphasis, and planning for the year. Here MR. RAYMOND W. MORROW, Arthur Hill High; MRS. HELEN BOCH, Arthur Hill Trade School; and MRS. HUGO SIEHR, Arthur Hill, plan for the discussion groups which follow the series of lectures. MRS. MELVIN ALLIS listens while CARL FEUSSE and ALICE WAGNER tell about the need for a new Saginaw High School. Students on the Citizen’s Committee from Arthur Hill and Saginaw High canvassed the SAGINAW BOARD OF EDUCATION members make plans for the future of Saginaw schools. Schackleton (no picture.) city in an effort to encourage as many citizens as possible to vote on the school bond issue. Promoters of this city-wide campaign included the Saginaw Citizens Council and the Saginaw High School’s P-TA. DURING THE BOND ISSUE VICTORY DANCE observers MR. |. M. BROCK, MR. HAROLD T. SLAGHT of the Saginaw News watch from the balcony. These men were members of the committee which planned the dance in celebration of the successful campaign for a new Saginaw High School. A VICTORY DANCE was given last May in celebration of the com- bined efforts of Arthur Hill and Saginaw High schools in the passing of the bond issue for a new Saginaw High School. Dance bands from both Arthur Hill and Saginaw High played alternately during the evening as students mingled in a friendly happy spirit of accomplish- ment. ‘51 Legenda
