The pla er's the thing Now wie Movr: ON to the men who are specialists in that Hoosier Hysteriaf' basketball. Piloting the varsity round-hallers is Herman Hinshaw, with Powell 1XIoorhead coaching the reserves, and Harold Negley and George hlihal handling the freshman hoopsters. The varsity netmen enjoyed a satisfying season, defeating such big-wigsi' as Richmond and Lafay- -ette, and CZIptll1'lIl,Q' 13 of 21 galnes, tourneys included. In sectional competition, the Green Wtave defeated the Silent Hoosiers in the first game, then the tour- ney was history as far as Tech was concerned. The Hinshaw-111en lost to Crispus Attuck's Tigers in a second-round tilt. Gordon King was selected on the Stnwr,s All-City team at guardg he also was second high-point man in the N.C.C. scoring race. lvnder Coach hloorhead, the reserves, composed mostly of sophomores, blasted through their schedule of 16 games, winning 12. In city competition, the reserves lost only to the Howe Hornets, thus adding to their freshman crown, the Reserve City Diadem. Those fellows, our freshie team, who are supposed to he green at the sport, were not so green as they came out on the long end of their season with a 7-to-41 record, defeating VVarren Central, 34 to 172 South- port, 34 to 29g Howe, Q6 to 921, Crispus Attucks, FRESHMAN BASKETBALL-Bottom Row fleft to rightlz William N.
