The First Semester QP? 05
Student Council saw much ac- 509. 0095
tivity in 1950 with several gi xeezoee
ideas being adopted and put Sygogftdxcgxdx 96
into use. A Calender for the C' Y, QQV
meetings ofclasses and clubs 99.604 OK
on certain days was arranged 9 9 6500.6
early and days were designat- OQ5 699x090
ed for the meetings. 53000 Q0
Aposter blank was originated for these YL
wishing posters for activites. These were
filled out with information and given to the X. A' X
i ' ,a
Art Classes.
A new office was occupied for the first
time with the Commissioner of Secretarial
Duties joining the Government.
The council attended a leadership
training conference in Atascadero in late
August and attended an inner-school
council meeting in San Luis Obispo early
in October. Arroyo was host of one of these
meetings in December.
To help the financial difficulties, the Student Body
purchased asnow-cone machine which was operated for the
Student Body benefit. A new financial system was started
in the fall for better care of the Student Body funds.
All clubs and classes were asked to elect a scribe or
reporter to turn over their activities to be printed in the
school paper and local papers to help publicize school ac-
tivities. Electing A, G, U, High's first Homecoming Queen
and staging a down town Homecoming Parade were also new
activities of the Fall Council. 24
