Only the best actors and actresses are permitted to ioin this highly esteemed organization. ln order to gain membership, a person must accumulate a cer- tain number of thespian points. These points are awarded for performances in plays and musicals. When the prospec- tive member has accumulated twenty or more points, he is voted on by the present members of the organization. Only those actors and actresses who display the finest ideals of the dramatic arts will be voted into membership. As a thes- pian goes farther into this field, he can be awarded the coveted distinction of Honor Thespian. Several members of the Academy's Thespian troupe, Troupe l3O, have achieved this distinction. Under the leadership of Mr. James Hannon, the advisor, and Richard Fitzgerald, Troupe l3O has ranked high in national comparisons.
