Alpha Gamma Delta This was Alpha Gamma Delta's fifth year at Armstrong. lt was a year marked not only by con- tinued monetary contributions to the sorority's na- tional project, the rehabilitation of brain damaged children, but also by contributions to our local community and various campus activities. The now traditional Rummage sale, Georgia Day Booth, and car washes helped to raise the money for the na- tional project while Gamma Rho Chapter spon- sored the Epilepsy Bike-a-thon as its own special project of local benefit. The chapter took honors for campus involve- ment by being the Intramural Champs, obtaining the Homecoming Spirit Award, and having two sis- ters win the titles of Greek Goddess and Miss Geechee. 9 io 8 6 7 1 2 3 4 5 l lA, I3 '11 '2 K li 2l 22 l5 ,6 ,7 I8 20 l I9 l 'U l 1 il .. l. Pike is proud of both its ritualistic traditions and its spirit of ambition and stresses initiative, development, and dedication. Armstrong's Eta Mu Chapter of PiKA participated in or sponsored many activities this year. They held a Halloween Party for Bethesda boys, won the First Place trophy for their Homecoming float, boasted six student senators, one executive officer, and placed first in the overall intramural program, winning almost every major sport. Pike supported "Pack the Civic Center Night," the "Miller Pick-er-up Contest," and presented Ike Williams with the MVP Trophy for basketball. PiKA counts a membership of 46 -the largest at Armstrong - with 20 "Little Sisters." Marie Connors represented Pike as their i974-75 Sweetheart. l. Ricky Rushing 2. Tim Remley 3. James Cade 4. Armstrong's Epsilon Sigma Chapter not only recognized the event in the usual fashion of celeb- ration, but also by participation in the national and international projects of Sigma Kappa. Thus financial contributions were made to the American Farm School in Greece to provide scholarships for women and to the Maine Sea coast Mission in honor of the sorority's founders. On the community and more personal level, these sisters baked, sang, and entertained for elderly citizens and helped recruit volunteers in the Red Cross Blood Drive. l l. Peggy Lincoln 2.
