Currently one of the trends about the country has the name Preppy , It is deeply based on the fashions of the late 50's and early 6O's. Preppy is a very discriminating trend. Only certain pieces of clothing are consid- ered preppy. Some of these pieces are: Oxford style shirts, Sperry top-sider shoes, garrison belts, and straight-leg pants. Some people have considered the alligator from the HLa Coste golfing shirt to be the unof- fical preppy logo.
