We’re the class of 61 . The Senior Class chose Buck Hasko to lead them in their last year at A.H.S. Helping him were Dean Ness, Vice- president: Bev Sarsten, Secretary-treasurer; and Punk Hjort and Bill Hawkins, Yell leaders. Their leadership, with the help of Mr. Lord, the class advisor, was highly successful, and the class of ”61 accomplished many things. Stepping into the spotlight during homecoming were chairmen Diane M. and Gary W. The royalty consisted of Bev S. and Pat L., king and queen; and Princesses Naveda C. and Virginia N. Princes were Dave F. and Gerry A. The spotlight shifted to the Senior Play, . Charley's Aunt. The Senior class is very proud of the talent that was displayed in this memorable three-act comedy. Next came the annual Pep Club Carnival and the class of 61 chose Judy Brendemuhl as their candidate for queen. There was work, as well as fun for the Seniors. Stan Lund was Student Body President.
