f Lions Stalk Ivy 5 With hard work, dedication, and to- getherness, the approximately fifty members of the track team set out to win the Ivy League Championship and be a tough competitor. Most of the team were underclassmen who car- ried much of the burden. Head Coach John Corona stated, If our young people can come through for us, we will be very competitive and realize the goals we have set for ourselves. During the two-hour practices, the long distance runners and sprinters concentrated on their strides, while other members involved in field events tried to improve their technique and build up stamina. Corona with assis- tants Dick Diamond, Mike Dennis, Steve Babka, and Brad Roseling kept the team in top condition. Outstanding athletes, Chris Harper, George McKinley, Casey Whitney, and Steve Jones provided the leadership that the team needed to run off with the Ivy Championship.
