Closs History--1937 The class of 1937 is the thirteenth class to graduate from Arlington High School. But this fact has little to do with our achievements. Twelve students received honor keys for high scholastic rating during the first three years of the high school course. It is the second class to receive so many keys. Those receiving them were: Vincent Amato, Marion Clark, Donald Cross, Joseph Eberhard, Cath- erine Grant, Charles Miller, Muriel Monroe, Helen Relyea, Phyllis Singleton, Evelyn Skelly, Raymond Smith, and Dorothy Zimmer. We continued with pride the publication of the year book. We sincerely hope the precedent established by the class of 1936 will be carried on by future classes. A class play was presented: Captain Applejack, which abounded in witty dialogue. The basketball team this season was composed chiefly of Seniors, and finished with flying colors one of the stiffest schedules in the school's history. In interclass basketball the boys succeeded in defeating other classes, during their Freshman, Junior, and Senior years. Our treasury has been increased by food sales, a milk fund, the selling of Christmas Cards, and a Senior Prom, In the course of both work and enjoyment, we have been led through the dark and perilous paths of learning. We have learned to share glorious victory and to brave defeat.

Madaras. The plot involved the romantic Captain Applejack, seeking adventure, which he found right at home in the dramatic arrival of Anna Valeska who played up to his romantic ideas, and of Ivan Borolsky and Mr. and Mrs. Pengard. Through the cleverness of Anna Valeska, who posed as a Russian dancer, and was really the wife of Borolsky. a plan was made to rob the Applejohn home, but they were foiled in their attempt through the appearance of Johnny Jason, a real estate salesman, with too many good ideas.
