Our Town, by Thornton Wilder, is cn ploy in three octs, eoch exploring cn different stoge in the lifes of the chorocters. The first wos dolly life, the second, love ond morrioge, ond the third, deoth. lt is primorily o story of the Gibbs ond Webb fomilies ond the growing romonce between George Gibbs ond Emily Webb, The ports were ployed by seniors Williom Dennis ond Lyndo Lontz, The first oct goes through on ordinory doy consisting of ordinory things, like school ond work, ln the second oct George ond Emily foll in love ond get morried. ln the third oct, Emily dies ond relives o doy in her life before occepting deoth. Senior Vs. Foculty B-boll Mokes For Confusing Fun Fridoy, November 13, turned out to be on unlucky night for the members of the foculty. The seemingly unconqueroble foculty teom wos defeoted by the seniors in the Seniors vs. Foculty bosketboll gome. The gome wos close oll the woy with the seniors leoding in every quorter but the Qnd. With the seniors leoding ofter the fourth quortet, the foculty osked for on extro fifth quorter to see if they could win, but no such luck. The seniors beot them with o score of 20-25. lt wos very exciting to win becouse the foculty hosn't been beot in 20 yeors, remorked senior Albert Redd. The gome is o good chonce for those seniors who hod never hod o chonce to be o cheer- leoder or bosketboll ployer. The senior girls cheered for the senior teom ond o few foculty members cheered for the foculty teom. I om glod I got. o chonce to cheer. It wos o lot of fun, but I don't think I'd wont to do it oll the time, Above. Never give up . . . Senior Kevin Rushing fights ro breok in and grob the boll to prevent the foculty from scoring. Left. Never too late , . . Cleft to right? Romono Watson, Wendell Potker, ond Chris Allen show their spirit by cheering on the foculty teom. soid senior Kim Humphrey. Some believe the gome wos unfoir becouse o few olumni bosketboll ployers come bock to help out the foculty teom. There wos much controversy os to whether o full gome wos ployed in the first place. Some soy the first 2 guorters were not counted officiolly ond so it wos octuolly only o 8 quorter gome. Then ogoin, others believe the gome consisted of five full quorters. There ore orguments os to whether the seniors won ot oll. lt is now left to the innocent bystonders to decide. The Goldenoires performed their contest rou- tine ot holftime. Speciol Educotion teocher Chris Allen, Goldenoire director, performed with the girls. lt wos very exciting to donce with the Goldenoires. The girls seemed to get o kick out of seeing how nervous I got before the perfor- monce, Mrs. Allen excloimed. Senior-Foculty I3-boll Gome!25
