The serpentine lines crept slowly forward as those already in line discussed summer vacations and upcoming campus activities, just to keep their minds off their registration headaches. Students re-checked schedules to make sure their own classes did not conflict. Registration workers typed names on ID cards, checked and listed fees, and distributed loans and scholarships.
