MM' I A- Jeff Tolson Uohni, Joy Zehner KMargiej and David Crum fWillyj try not to laugh during their time on stage. 2 - Jeff Herrin fkichardj tries to think of a plot for a piay and enlists the heh: of his wife Kristine Parker CEtheD, 3 - Characters of the play, 'Some- thing New in Murder" assume that Diana Prentiss, niece of the mur- dered man, did it. "Willie Velvet. Homicide Detec- tive" is a play about a radio produc- tion about the life and times of Willy Velvet. During this particular epi- sode, everything goes wrong. The advertisers do not sing their mes- sages on time, the actors mess up their cues and miss lines, and the sound man ruins everything by mak- ing the sounds at the inappropriate time. The result is total chaos. lllllll Ill!-l "Something New ln Murder" is the story of a struggling playwright who is trying to meet a deadline. He has been granted a one-week extension by the publisher, but as of yet he does not even have an idea as to what to write. With his wife's help, he manages to come up with the plot of a good murder mystery for his play. The groundwork is set so that the main character, Dick Angel, goes to sleep hoping that in his dreams he can fill in the finer details of the play. By watching his dream, we see the entire play as it should turn out, However, when Dick Angel awa- kens. he realizes that he has forgotten everything. The Student Council, under the direction of Ginger Calf houn, sponsored the festivities, The stage was decorated with clouds and stars. Both the Varsity and the Junior Varsity teams rallied to comfortable wins over the West- ville Blackhawks.
