Track captains presenting state trophy to Mr. Channdl at the Bruce Armstrong, first of class of 1970 to receive his diploma, assembly. 19 Baccalaureate, and Graduation On Sunday, May 23, baccalaureate services were held in the auditorium. The class was led in a responsive reading by Pam Crowley, and Rev. Luther Vogel gave a sermon. On Tuesday morning. May 26, seniors gathered in the cafeteria for the breakfast. The breakfast was followed by the reading of the prophecy on the auditorium steps, and graduation practice in the gym. Senior Will committee reading the will. Argentine Class of 1970's Final Assembly, On Friday, May 21, the final awards assembly was held. Many senior high students were recognized for their achievement in scholastic ability, athletics, leadership and other areas. The shovel was passed, from Shelly to Bob, and the senior will was read. Shelly Stockdale, Senior class president, passes the shovel to Bob Marshall, Junior class president. 18 Annie Fischer, and Alfred Murguia received a speech award at the state tournament, and the American Legion Award.

Final Gathering of Class of 1970 On May 26, at 8:00 in the gym, a large crowd of family and friends watched as 165 seniors received their diplomas. The choir sang several selections, and the theme from Exodus” was played by the orchestra. Bob Ward, and Dee Olivarez spoke on Responsi- bilities of a Decade-Sounds of the 70's. Diplomas were given out, and the great class of 1970 stood together for the last time to sing the alma mater. Dee Olivarez speaking at graduation.
