To them, whether in college or in the world of business, will come many experiences of a kind vastly different from those encountered in high school. We hope that, in the years to come, this annual will serve to bring back to all, recollections of happy days spent in Ardsley High. Through our theme "America the Beautiful" we have attempted to show the importance of music in a peaceful world. The field of music is rich in songs glorifying the land we all love. Though the medium of song we can eloquently express our appreciation for "America the Beautiful." To Mr. A. W, Silliman, Mrs. C. E. Parsons, Miss H. G. Robbie, Miss E. Davis, Mr. W. V.'s, a varsity was whipped together by Coach Horend ready to brave Commerce away from home before Christmas. Correcting early season faults in January the team won five and lost but one,-that to Irvington. Illness fouled the com- bination during early February resulting in two losses, a win, and two more losses. A high spot of the season was the marvelous exhibition of skill, endurance and "scrap" put on by Ardsley against Bronxville, a much larger school. Ardsley pulled the fat from the fire a number of times only to lose in the last moment by two points. At this writing, plans are incomplete for the State Section Tourna- ment which cannot be held in County Center this year. Ardsley is entered and is also scheduled to play a return match with the Veteran alumni, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Red C1'oss. The success of any Scout Troop depends largely upon the Boy Leaders and a grand job they did. Credit must go to Patrol Leaders Lester MacLeod Herbert Karl Lyman Kipp and Charles Buckes. Edwin Stone turned in a fine job as Senior Patrol Leader. Assistant Scoutmaster Woessner and members of the Troop Committee were of great assistance in administering the program. The Lions Club of Ardsley continued its sponsorship of the Ardsley Girl Scouts: the newly organized Ardsley Girl Scout Association was enlarged: the Ardsley Players gave a benefit performance for the Girl Scouts to help them realize their dream of a scout cabin, and best of all the number of girl scout troops was doubled-there are now four troops! We are so proud of our Brownies. The slogan "Every girl in Ardsley a Girl Scout" has made many more homes scout conscious. The Brownies are happy in work or playg the Intermediates are learn- ing useful and profitable services "to other people at all times" through their badge workg they are stressing international friendship which is so timely and worthyg finally, the Seniors are wonderfully industrious with their shop course. Throughout the whole scout program this year there have been entertainment, sociability, comradeship, and a love for the good and beautiful in America-all seen through the eyes of Ardsley's Girl Scouts.
