LIQLID AIR DEMONSTRATION A Ilquld alr demonstration was sponsored by the Physlcs class Ex eryone was amazed by the power of Ilquld alr Imafflne bolllnv the water for tea when company came on the Ice ln vour refrx erator and makmg a solxd ham mer out of mercury' Well IVIr I'II1ott ames drd both of these thlnvs and many more amazrn ones I-IOPI INDIAINb In the latter part of -5-.pr1I Ardsley was xnyaded by members of the Hopl Arizona Indlan trlhc accompanied by thelr interpreter hdythe Sterllng BIII :nf slev The members of the companv 1 aye th lr vwenrd ceremonxal dances I-hey were fasclnatmg as they seemed to follow out the SPITIK for which the dance was gxven Among the most awe mspxrmv were the Snake and Buffalo dances Xt each dxfferent dance they chanved lnto umque costumes sugvestlng the characters they were trylng to Interpret They sang their raclal songs and enacted a legend III thelr own tongue Xfter the performance they sold yarlous crafts that they themselves or mem bers of their tribe had made POLISH SPEARER The school was very much Interested ln the tales told by a Pollsh tray eler and student one afternoon ln March He gave personal remembrances of Poland during the World War and then explamed the present geographlcal and poI1tcaI standmg ot Poland He praised the work done nn Poland by the Umted States and President Hooy er durlng and after the war Many bug and small boys clustered around hum and asked hlm hrs name but although he told us many times none of us could pronounce It or even remember nt AIVIBROSE Ihr FRIES Ambrose Jeffries ventrxloqulst and master trlclcster amused all of for nearly an hour wnth hrs card trucks and ventrlloqulsm He caught coms out of the an' and eyen out of the noses mouths and ears of the audrence much to thexr embararssment and amusement SENIOR CONILERT The Senlor class sponsored a concert ln the fall featuring Miss Marlon Munson and the Schubert Tno composed of Miss Marjone Willoughby Mr Nncolas Koenig and Mr Arthur Reuther It was a musical success Every one was pleased to hear the Ioy ely voice of Mxss Marlon Munson agam IN IU!!! r1I3llSl.l','I'.IX I X, v . . ,. 5, ..
