| Chis Prophese., As the Crystal Gazer gazes irto the Crystal Ball, he sees the class 1948. Hmmmmmmm--it looks as though they graduated approximately ten chine ago. The Ball is cloudy, but wait!! In the distance I see a He PUPS. ht 4 Ss getting clear row, ard we see--Heler Bercot. Helen is now the proprietor of a class of Beauty Shops. As I again look into the Ball, I see a very great athlete. Who is it? Why it's none other thar Bob Blessing, who is now the quarter-back of Notre Dame's football team. I also see a great name in the bolted sa lime-light. .Herb Brarning is now star player on the Zollner Pis- i Me : Next I see Gerald Burns, who now works a 380 acre farm. Gerald is mar- rfed but the Crystal . Ball is beginning to cloud over so ‘ his wife is. As the cloud Seana cawey I see Dick Dinner Mt THLE Eee strange noise that sounds like the barkirg of Coon dogs. Yes, that's’ exactl what it is. Dick is the owner of 150 Coor dogs and 50 Det Goons. Rreckee figure is coming into view. It is Leo Butts. It seems that Leo bought the Fort Wayne Speedway so he and his friends could race in safety. It wasn't surprising for us to learn of Bob Coleman's.trade. He is a very good mechanical engineer, so if you ever want your car torn down, go to see Bob. He loves that kind of work. I now see the cut-up of the class, John Erickson. John is now a great man in Radio business. He is known as Jolly Johnnie . Here is another 14d from this class who-has become very successful in farming--Bud Felger. He has taken over his Grandfather's farm. I now see Martha Felger, who is a branch Library executive. Once more the ball gets hazy and clears, and I see Delmar Fick, who, through the gen- erosity of his father, has a 120 acre farm which he and Phyllisjean are man- aging together. Now I see a little blond girl. Oh yes, it's Marilyn Foor. She is now happily married to Kenny Reese. She is also giving her two daugh- ters piano lessons. J : James Greener, it seems, is also in the farming business. Jim isn't married, but there may be prospects!! I can't make out very well what the Crystal Ball is trying to produce. It seems to be a large ferm, and Carl Gruettert is the manager of it. I nowy see something white, and, oh, there is Joan Middleton in the kitchen, working hard for Bob, who is awaiting din- ner in the living room with the children. The scene is changing a little, to another household, operated by Dick Middleton and his wife, Gloria, while a couple of little Middletons play around. I see a fair young maiden, who is walking down memory lane with her one and only, Paul Oser. Esther Ramseiter, the bashful girl, is taking care of the house and young Junior. I now see a great basketball star who has carried that rame all through his school days and now is teaching the young Snyders the technique of the game. Sally is still hollering for Freddie. The Crystal Ball is very hazy, but a figure is anpearing which looks familiar. Yes, now I know, it's Delores Sowers, who is now married to Tye , Now I see a big office being operated by one of the high-ranking seniors of 48 , It's Norma Jean Thiele, who is a very prosperous head Stenographer. Another farm is coming in view, , and the manager is Mike Trahin. Mike isn't married yet, but as he did in high school days, he is still looking. The Crystal Ball is hazy again. Oh yes, now I know! It's a hospital, and I see a’ Blord in a white uniform. Why, it's Betty Wessels as the head nurse ! Another farm is again in view. It's being run by Charley Yoder and his wife Glo-ia. Of course, Gloria is in the house ard little Charlie is out helping dad with the farming. I can't make out anything now--the Cryst- al ball is very hazy. Oh, yes, I see someone with blond hair. Of course, it's Norma Devlin. She and Mart Berghorn are happily married. The Crystal Ball is changing a little, and we see Marjorie Gross and Ronnie who is now her hubby. They are raising little Marines . As most boys follow in the path of their father, Bob Hewen is now the Trustee of Aboite Township. : ag ei eRe tae é dak at aerate 8
