enthusrastlc and asked many eager questtons about our voyage Our Cap Ialfl assured us that rf we were drlrgent and perseverrng rn our duttes we should easrly reach our desttnatron at the end of four years So rt was wrth hopeful hearts and srnrlmg faces that we bade good bye from the deck at those left behrnd rn the Grammar Grades steamed out of the harbor and embarked on our Voyage of Hrgh School Lrfe We were young and socrally mclrned so rt drd not take us long to get acquarnted w1th our fellow passengers and the Crew Our shrpwreck fears were wtped away 1n the assurance that an able staff of Seamen had us tn thetr charge and tn no ttme we were sarltng smoothly over Freshman Sea When we made port at Sophomore Bay Jtmmte Nowell Lerlant Jeter and Gwen Warn scott boarded our shrp We then settled down for a longer crulse for our next port would not be untrl we reached the Isle of Senrors where Yvonne Graham Martha Blankenshtp Beth Crawford and Johnnre Sue Alsup were awartmg our arrrval If would be tnteresung to tell the numerous delrghtful experlences of our voyage the frrendshrps we ve made the lessons we ve learned the rnnumerable partmgs of varrous shtpmates for other shores wtth the why and wherefore of tt all but rt actually has httle vrtal srgmftcance except to ourselves the few who sttll remarn together to land at Commencement Wharf We must not drvulge the secret of our
