F THER ' CLUB There can be no doubt that one of the most valuable assets that Carroll possesses is a strong and active Fathers Club. As the teacher shares by a kind of delegation the responsibility of the parent in educating, the additional contact between home and school afforded by the Fathers Club is of direct benefit to all concerned. During the past year, among the many not- able firsts sponsored by the Fathers Club was the very successful Career Night. Mr. W. Edward Gallagher, president, has provided the inspiring leadership which carried the Fathers Club through a year marked by increasing success.

PURT Nineteen Hfty-six marked a new expansion in the athletic program at Carroll. The old standbys were here, of course+football, basketball, and base- ball. However, increasing interest was shown in some of the activities which have arrived more recently on the scene. Archery, bowling, golf, and track gave an opportunity for participation in sports to a greater number of students. The pages following note some of the high- lights of the past season. The year's record was balanced by thrilling victories and disappointing defeats, but, win or lose, spirit was high, rivalry was keen, and good sportsmanship was evident.
