Carroll's well- balanced collection provides source material for class assignments as well as recreational reading. LIBB RY CL B Few extra-curricular activities are so closely related to the educational program of the school and confer such direct benefits upon the members as does the library club. Through their daily work in the library the staff gains a first-band knowledge of a wide variety of standard sources of infor- mation. Under the supervision of Father Boyle, library club members are trained to carry out the routine tasks involved in cataloguing, processing books for the shelves, and circulating them to students. During the past year a notable event was the program arranged for Catholic Book Week, to which parents and students from other schools were invited. Featured were prominent speakers and an elaborate display of Catholic books, magazines, and newspapers.
