v Y,-0 y i '-Q. MJ Xp After one of the many rehearsals for the Christmas concert, Glee Club members gather around the piano for some informal harmony as Bernie Hammett pounds the keys. GLEE CL a-' Above: Mr. Lupica confers with Mrs. Adele Bush who graciously accompanied the Glee Club again this year. Right: Hard work and ong hours of practice are rewarded in a suc- :esstul concert. lYith Father Cain as moderator and Mr. Lupica as director, the Carroll Glee Club gave us many pleasant hours of music during the past year. Both at Christmas and in the spring, these versatile vocalists presented public concerts which were accorded a warm reception. Their sensitive interpre- tation of classical, semi-classical, and popular favorites has established for the Glee Club a reputation as a polished musical organization. Some sixty voices contributed to the success of the past season. Although the graduating seniors will leave places that will be difiicult to till, the gradual maturing of the talents of the underclassmen brighten the prospects for the future.

DHAMATICS The Mask and Buskin is intended to provide an opportunity for the students of Archbishop Carroll High School to develop their dramatic and technical talents in producing good plays for their own self-improvement and for the entertainment and enjoyment of all. Stalag 17, a production which enjoyed a suc- cessful and well-attended two-night run, was the first play of the season. Charleylv Aunt, bright- ened by the presence in the cast of a number of young ladies from Immaculate Conception Acad- emy, followed in the spring and was rated by many as a worthy successor to last seasonls highlight, Twelfth Night. Under the guidance of Father Kelly and Father Churbuck, the Mask and Buskin has developed into a dramatic group of exceptional competence. Split-second timing behind the scenes is necessary for effec- tive lighting and sound effects. John Marr, Mike Werle, and Frank Sabate are alert tor their cues as Stalag 17 unfolds on stage. l. Sager tries to entice A. Gill to get out of the tub and retrieve the towel, while- J. Warner, T. Bishop, J. Godbout, H. Raymond, D. Barrett, and F. Turca wait with amusement to see what will happen. In this scene from Stalag I7 Tom Bishop peers over Richard Bomlser's shoulder to see what's cooking. Henry Raymond shows a lack of interest in an early breakfast. l
