There then followed an in and out season with the Lions hot one day and cold the next. Win or lose, the hustle and spirit of the team deserve the highest Commendation. Frank Campana, Buddy Dennie, and Pat Green, mainstays of the pitching staff, never turned in a poor performance. Joe Kammerer, behind the plate was easily the outstanding schoolboy catcher in the Wash- ington area. Jim Byrne's power at the plate paced. the Carroll hitting attack. Coach Bob Dwyer, pitcher Buddy Dennie, and catcher Joe Kammerer, talk strategy before the first inning. !
