A quintet with a combination of players like Mauricewalker, Dennie Howell, Alvin jenkins, Mike Suraci, and Bill Weneta could not lose for long. All in all, it was a good year for the junior Lions. They had to face a gruelling schedule averaging three to four games a week against the toughest teams in the area. The brand of basketball played by the -l.V. was a typical example of the high type of sportsmanship shown by every athletic team representing Archbishop Carroll High School.
