Graduation claimed four out of the starting live who hurl compiled a 14-4 record while leztcling t':n'roll to its most successful season since entering: varsity competition three years ago. This year the Lions competed in the newly formed Wasliintqton-Ilaltimore Catholic League which matched the top Catholic teams of both cities against each other. -loin- ing Carroll in this loop were St. johns of Washington, and Mt. St. Alosephls, Czilvert Hall. and Loyola of Baltimore. The picture, fortunately, looks encouraging for next season. Although Iliela l'etrillo, Bernie Dove, Bob Deftin- baugh, and Dave Talley have turned in their green and golcl uniforms, the great majority of this years Squitcl will be in action at the old stand when December rolls around. A number of promising junior varsity cagers will move up to the big team to till the spots vacated by the seniors. That Catholic League crown may not be too far away!
