FDREIGN STUDENTS Youth For Understanding has a student from Denmark, who goes by the name of Henrik Christensen. Henrik is enthused by the number of activities that the average American can do outside of home and school. However he does feel that Americans have three very immediate prob- lems: those of internal violence, the war in Indo- china, and the overwhelming pollution. They must be solved in that order, for one feeds into the other. When asked about Denmark, Henrik re- fused to answer because of the unfairness of com- paring it with the United States due to the differ- ences in customs, population and the sizes of the countries. I appreciate the American school sys- tem, especially flexible scheduling, not because it is easier to study but because it is better for communication between students and teachers. Finally, he wanted to thank the teachers for the time spent in helping him understand his courses. B145 International Christian Youth Exchange is spon- soring a student from Hong Kong - Tim Hau. The school Tim came from is liberal by Hong Kong , standards but conservative compared to Aragon. Tim loves flexible scheduling because commun- ications between students and faculty are close. Advocating the ideas of free speech and the system of democracy, Tim does not like the racial discrimination and the high cost of living. An official photographer for the El Tersoro, Tim contributes to Aragon's school spirit. Interested in Math, he goes to after-school Math contests and attempts to tutor those who need help in Math. Tim plans to return to Hong Kong, make a detailed study of the differences between the kg United States and Hong Kong, and then come back to the Americas to attend a university. Being the elected vice-president of the Human Relations Committee, Tim could be well quali- fied to do this. , 4'1-t........ i we w elf' -1' AX

The goal of the Sophomore class this semester Was to try to bring the students of the school closer together through our various activities. We felt that if We could get the student body together, the feeling of school spirit that has been lacking in the past few years would be promoted. Bruce Cox, Sophomore Class President rightg joey Brandstetter-Vice President, Cary Yamauchi-Secretary!Treasurer. not picturedg Bruce Cox-President and Chris Kohlbry-hlected Representative During my term as senior class president, our activities were quite successful, but I feel that most of the credit goes to the spirit and unity of the class of '71 itself. This year's senior class was fortunate enough to have reserved a night at Disneyland for our Grad Nite, and because of this the rest of our year's activities were directed towards the raising of funds for the trip.
