The language classes were small but made a lot of noise. Now there are 8 language teachers and over 1000 students. Most freshmen begin in 3-4 and 602, continue into the advanced classes. We have large team -taught classes and small conversation groups. Language classes still make a lot of noise. --J. Cotter Looking back over our ten years as a school, the English staff can find many happy memories in terms of our associ- ations with students and teachers alike. As a department we are fortunate in that we have many teachers who have been with us from the beginning helping lend continuity and tradition to our school. Mr. Rittenour, Mr. Lee. Mr. Knees, Miss Meding, Mr. Bell, Mr. Price, Mr. Shackleton, Mr. Drobac, and Mr. Parker are the old veterans of the department. joining the staff a little later were others who have been with us for many years - Mr. Fisher, Miss Farquharson, Mrs. Ricks. Our new-comers include these young and vibrant teachers: Mr. Keuter, Mr. Kersnar, Mr. Murgo, Mr. Breaux, Miss Bilek, Miss Torkelson, and Mrs. Knight. We are all proud of our school and our department which through these ten years has tried to make English exciting and meaningful to all Aragon students. With the inclusion of live flight and the acquisition of Snoopy's Doghouse, students have an opportunity to test their knowledge in actual situations. In addition to live flight, flexible scheduling has contributed greatly to the success of the aerospace program, pro- viding many opportunities for In-depth learn- ing in the many phases of the program. The next ten years Will see an increase in the value of the program as the aerospace courses con- tinue to offer a background for technical fields and provide a sound goal for continuing educa- ffl! . 4 L...e i , f E Clyde Huffm afn A..-at Earl Arthur C omio lley 114-um 3 tion. --Earl Connolley I R T S Richard Dale Keith . In all areas f - We have attempted to update equip- ment and curriculum to keep abreast of changes in industry. The metals area has strengthened its Welding and foundry course content. A number of teachers have come and gone in the Industrial Arts areas, but each has left his mark of excellence in teaching each individual area. We are now moving into programs of more individualized instruction for the student. --Richard Ruppel 2?-'fa .4.....,,,t,,,,,r. isa ' 5 air V- 1, f
