The most important function of student government is to involve stu- dents in relevant activities Which tend to create school spirit and prepare students to become active citizens in their community. Weekly bands, musicians day, kite day, Aragon's l0th anniversary party, and such activities created spiritg While Black History Week, supporting the CSM tax election, ecology activities, and other school community services Were aimed at student awareness. Starting a student store, redecorating the lounge, and Working for district permission to advertize in school publications Were some lasting achievements realized by Student Assembly. SENIORS Senior class president for two semesters-another first for Aragon high. Actually a lot of activities were planned for the second semester during the first, and I felt the obligation to see their completion. It's quite an experience trying to please all the people all the time-it can't be done. But I hope I have pleased all of you at least one time or another. JUNIORS ln gaining funds for the prom in April, the junior class suffered a serious setback from the cancelled fun-nite in February. But We had other planned ac- tivities such as the Great Tricycle Race, a car Wash, a date on May 21, and of course, the candy apple sales.
