varsity Winning five out of eight games and putting together the team's best effort to date, the Dons barely missed taking part of the league championship when they lost to Hillsdale 7-0 in the Traditional. The Dons opened the season by beating a surprised Serra team 13-8. In its romp over Wesunoor, Aragon scored a record 47 points. The team made it three in a row with its 27-0 League victory over Crestmoor. Capuchino handed the Dons their first loss of the season in a game played under the lights. Aragon fell short of beating Burlingame when a last ditch drive was halted inches short of a first down on the Burlingame five yard line with 50 seconds left in the game. The team rose to their high point of the season with two key wins over San Mateo and Mills. Led by O'Neil, Titus, Devincenzi, Neilson, Cort, Hains, Allen, and Connaughton in the backfieldg Trueblood, Meeds, and Waters at the endsg Eason at centerg bulldogs Christopherson and Brant, guardsg and Swenson and Fadelli, tacklesg Aragon continued to improve. '1'his year Aragon has been especially fortunate in having four of its varsity players appointed to the all M.P.L. Team. The four chosen were Jim O'Neil, Bruce Allen, Fred Faddelli, and Mike Christopherson. Buddy Titus was given honorable mention. At upper left are team managers Joe Niederreiter and Tim Portlock.
