This year's varsity swim team showed promise of bigger and better things for 1964. As of press time the record was 2-1-2 with two recent wins against Te a Nova and Carlmont. Aragon tied San Mateo 45-45 and lost to Menlo and San Carlos. Leading the team were Lloyd Loomis and Jerry Richardson in backstrokeg Alan Barich, Butterflyg John Hughes and Bob Moore, breastrokeg and free- stylers Frank Suechting, Ron Le avy and Tom Galbraith. The Don B's were at press time considered to have an excellent chance of capturing the B championship. In the persons of Bruce Allen and Randy Cort, Coach McKee had two of the finest B freestylers in the league. Bruce swam the 100 free and was destined to break Ted Stickles' old record. Randy swam the 200 free. In the breast stroke category, Aragon had the twobest inthe league, namely, Piers Monro and Dennis Willmeroth who were fighting it out for Individual honors. Other returning veterans who bolstered this years squad were free- stylers Bob Allen and Conrad Hamako: and Butter- flier Charlie Daniels. The C team though young and inexperienced in most aspects showed signs of improvement in each and every meet. Top mermen for Coach McKee were freestylers Jim Norris and Rick Coker and Mike Loy, who was one of the best breast strokers in the league. Above: Bob Graham and Ron Figone slice the ice.
