dedication LM EVERYTHING as it it were to be your last act on earth Thus you lived fi Sr Clotilde and thus you died and thus also do we the graduating clos ot l945 dedicate to you our rendition ot the annual senior publication ot M Aquinas lnstrtute It is with the deepest humility and gratitude towards you not we uhdertote the taslc at bringing torth a memorial worthy ot your zealou lite at Aauina You began your holy lite in the town ot Wellsburg Recognizing the camrnandino call ot your Creator you lovingly and obedrently entered the novitiote ot the Sister at Mercy in February I904 You taught at l-lornell Corning Elmira a d at t Andrews School in Rochester high esteem ot both taculty and students Noteworthy among your many accom plishments was your inspiring labor tor the spreading ot the Church at Christ Surely vour tedrous undertalcings in this line equalled it not surpassed some ot the piou missionaries actually worlrino in the teld ot the Missions Long were your days at Aquinas but how short they now seem Your teaching your leadership your piety and devotion your inspiring love at God your prayers and aurdances and your outstanding example in the Mission Unit made all ot us deeply grotetul tor your presence here at our Alma Mater Thus it was that during our Fall examinations an incampreh nsible sense ot gloom and depression settled over each ond every taculty member and student ven betore the sad news was revealed to all We could teel the loss the sense ot something 'hissing yes even the teeling ot a small child who suddenly realizes that he has lost some help and direction that he needs For you dear Sister at one ocloclr on November 9 had died But mingled with the pervading atmosphere ot sorrow tor your going there arose a growirg happiness that was tann d again and again into a glowing roy tor you We suddenly realized or perhaps we lcnew it all along that your beautrtul lite and your even more beautitul death meant not that we were losing but that you were gaining You were gaining your undeniable place in heaven We lcnow this tor we know God is rust And so now we malre this humble ettort to honor and revere you in our memories We pray that you have lound the rest and hatpiness tar which you labored and we rope that by lollowing the model and example ot your lite we may tind a death so nappy and a reward so dese ving a your l-lelp us alway to o everything a t it were to be our last act on earth and pray tor u that someday we may all b with you in paradise Kimlmmlmmlilimlillmlmnlilimmmmg mtl' ,LMP W I' , . . - N W I V 'il' 131, . . . 553 - 5 - r i .
