' "S ',, ,V Indispensible to any production is the efficient operation of backstage crews. In her position as Stage Manager, Sharon Watkins acted as head of all the crews. Here she is shown supervising set-up operations for the performances at the Civic Theatre. James Wisnewski, set designer, touches up a flat for the stylized setting as George Tilton of the set construction crew puts the finishing touches on a tea table for Act I. 120 PROPS COSTUME Costumes and props were precious com- modites this year, largely because the period of the play was Victorian, about 1895. The costume crew altered some rented costumes, then spent a hectic week making three new ones. Virginia Griffith and Ann Matesich headed this crew, and received the devoted aid of Suzanne Oles- zczuk pictured right altering a costume for Dorothy Connell CMiss Prismb. Ursula Berg, pictured below with Lea- nette Best, spent weeks running from junk shops to outlet stores and even invading private homes to beg and borrow the un- usual props called for in the play. b 'fi-:, jggkfgif. , 1 xliii:-Q-Rfk -if --+--..:-:me 'fssiitl--,ii 4. .A wks 5- 353 , 1,:gx:.,..N . ff' ,-.Nat ' gi 5? , -X.
