HISTCRY On a September morn twelve years ago With hasr brushed neat and faces aglow We entered frrst grade wrth a happy heart All of us destsned to play a part ln the record of events that would surely pass Untsl the day we frnxshed our senror class My old record album' It seems lnke ages have passed sxnce I brushed off the dust to luten to records and recall the old but pleasant memones As I open the cover the flrst record l see rs The Lrttle Red School House whrch takes me back to the fxrst grade when all my old frtends Marvm Geneva Fred S Cole Mane Rsley Robert G Tommy B Mrtzr Laura Beulah Jane Brll S Tom S Bobby W Raymond Ben Carlls Richard W Robbre Glenda Jack luamta E Shtrley Juanrta A and Annle Ruth played so happsly together It wasn t long though untrl we were Jorned by Frank Rrchard B Elton Rschard S George ert P Verna Hazel Carol Patsy I Ann Io Ann Snyder Eleanor and Faye What pleasant years wrth our May Day fesuvals Halloween camxvals and sixth grade graduation' I guess rf you ask us today our favorite old song would sttll be Ztp A Dee Doo Dash for we were so care free sn the elementary grader Gosh so many of these record have fond memones attached to them but I suppose the next one Take Me Out to the Ball Game u the best sutted for our lunror Hsgh years when Nannette Davtd lo Ann H Ed C leon Bessie Ed R Rosemary Lsnda and Norma Jomed the gang Those were the years we became so vrtally tnreresred tn sports cbeerleadlng band and glee club uauon Our slogan was Graduatlm or Bust The Sophomore year wasn t really so bad but everyone wsll agree the song Dry Bones dsd sunt us quite well as we struggled with expertment: m bsology Ronald Rtchard C Ed C J Ann W Jeanette and Robbte Nell jotned us that year The next year was really fun' We worked rn the concessron stand at the football games and on the Jumor class play Keep Movmg The comrcal anucs of the cast and especsally Fred S wrth hrs red nrgbt shut and trombone wsll never be forgotten In thes undertakings we were qutte successful and had a wonderful Junror Sensor Prom at the Mount Plymouth Hotel When we hear Aloha shall always be remsnded of the Prom wrth rts Hawartan theme Thss was a bsg year for us tn that we gaxned several new fnends Iackte Bruce June and Wendell At last the bxg moment of our Iunror year arrrved Chu class rings had arrived We thought they were the only ones' Finally we came to the year that stands out most tn our mtnds our Senior yearl Football season started rtght after school started The big game of the season was the Homecoming game when Io Ann Webb was crowned Msss A M H S Patsy B Barbara Bobble Yanrz and Sharon jotned the group Just before Thanksgsvrng the class sold subscrtptrons to magaztnes to sponsor the sensor class tr nn the second semester Speaking of semester we remember the exams we all dreaded to take Sixteen Tons certainly surted the occasion then We had several brg dances durrng the year the gala decorated Chrtsunas Dance the Valenune Twirl Dance and the Prom In April We wrll never forget the tense hours between tryouts and when the play cast was selected After the play we had the class mp skrp a way class night and of course more exams ln our last week of school we prepared for Baccalaureate and Graduatron The last record m my album Moments to Remember remtnds me of frrends teachers and acttvitles at A M H S .
