Sporrs The boys rrack ream began practicing early in February and for more rhon four months hove been working our several hours o day, six days o week. Returning to lead the Howl s this season were sprinters Rick Dorby and Dennis Doly. Senior Vernon Fielding ond junior Mel Roberts excelled in the 400 merer run, while Rich Dole piled up points running in the 800 meter event. Strongmen return- ing this year included Terry Poyne ond Brett Matthews, both seniors, compering in the shot pur ond the discus, while upondcoming shot putter Todd Zeolley added points. Golf Skyline Division Individual Champion Todd Howard led Apollo's Golf ream ro rhe store tournament for the first rime in this school’s history. The Hawlss came home from rhe tournament with o twelfth place finish our of 40 reams. Howard finished tenth in rhe store Apollo tools fourth pkxe in rhe Skyline Division which allowed them to qualify for store. Senior Jay Seorles was another outstand- ing member of this year's ream, occordmg to Coach Don Smith. Other reom members include Den Duran, Joel Klon- drud, Wode Howord, Will Stewart.
