Cross Country The members of the boys cross country reom began twice odoy practices in the blinding heor of August, often run- ning ten to fifteen miles in o single work- kour. Despite on overage oge of only 15, the reom managed to finish the season with o winning record, defeat- ing several more experienced reams. Freshman Foorball Apollo's freshman footboll ream ended its season with o perfect 80 record. The Howies opened season by beating Central ond Sunnyslope, AHS then crunched Prescott, 24 6, and Washington, 19 7. The Howlss then played Cortez in the annual arch rival game and dumped the Colts 05-20. Victory reigned os the Howlss went on to defeat Green way ond Brophy.
