Q' Q51 t C.. rnander W C Johnson, United States Navy fri 1. ecutlve Officer, USS ANZIO CCG 685 Lieutenant Commander William C Johnson was born in Boston Massachu setts and 1a1sed in the San F1 ancisco Bay area He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1985 with a Bachelor s Degree in Physics and was commissioned an Ensign In December 1985 he was assigned to USS ROARK CFF 10525 as First Lieutenant. He then attended Surface Warfare Officeris School in Coronado California and reported to USS VINCENNES CCG 495 in,July 1986, as Ordnance Officer and Navigator. In 1988 he was awarded CINCPACFLT's Ship Handler of the Year award. After three years and two deployments to the Westem Pacific and the Arabian Gulf, he was ordered to pre- commission USS ARLEIGH BURKE 515 as Fire Control Officer. Fol- lowing assignment to ARLEIGH BURKE, in May 1992, he attended Department Head School in Newport, Rhode Island. He received follow-on orders to USS SHILOH CCG 675 based in San Diego where he reported in Feb- ruary 1993 as Weapons Officer. He assumed duties as Combat Systems Offi- cer in January 1995.
