JANE McCORMACK fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand . Isaiah 41:10 She was a woman of dedication through her heart and mind to her God , a God she found to be merciful and loving, and therefore deserving of complete faithful- ness. Her roles of wife, mother, and grandmother evidence total devotion and love, and her commitment to the value of Christian family ideals. Her church work encompassed and bridged the spiritual and practical needs of all people. Through her devotion to two professions , she inspired those whom she helped and taught to pursue careers in the medical and the educational vocations. She firmly believed in the attitude of dignity for women in their many and var- ied roles in life . Her innate sensitivity to the unspoken needs of others and her Christian responsi- bility comforted and reached everyone , even when she herself was most in need of comfort. Her selfless, open communication with people of all ages built bridges of love because she knew the dangers of silence among people. The honest, full, active life she led daily with a passionate drive defined for her the life she expected of her students. Near the close of her life, she courageously found the peace and spiritual con- tentment as she saw with open eyes the blessings of eternal life with God . It is with our humble gratitude and love that we dedicate this book of memories to Mrs. Jane McCormack, for she truly touched our lives.
