The supporting players gave these boys their breaks, and shared in their honors unselfishly. At this time students who have excelled in the different phases of our school life are recognized and awards are given. Among the awards given are the medals presented each year by the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary to the outstanding girl and boy in the junior and senior high school, ln 1953 the high school medals were won by Sharlene Bryant and Wayne Hodnett.
