DEDICATION
During the school year the publishing of the annualyearbook, the bi-weekly newspaper,
the Hi-Life and the football programs fall under the guidance of our faithful advisor,
lVlr. Thomas Wa1'd.
ln addition to these publications Mr. Ward also sponsors the Big Show, the Queenis
Ball, two radio shows, and the sales of pompous.
His constant efforts to make these publications and events fulfill the school's ideals
have merited him the respect and admiration of all.
We, the 1956 PANTHER staff, thank him for his invaluable contributions to our
school, and it is with deep appreciation that we proudly dedicate this book to him.

JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY
The class of 757. with the aid of advisors Pauline West, Lincoln Hall and Eugene
Even. have had many experiences and activities to remember over the coming years.
Sophomore vear class officers were Larry Pitts. president: Art Valdez, vice presi-
dent: Dixie Dupire, secretary: Delores Vincente. treasurer: Theresa Maddalena and
Delores Langston. representatives.
After much discussion the class ring chosen was the Panther crest. At this time
the discussion concerning the possibility of having a traditional crest was renewed,
but no final decision was reached.
Second semester officers included Ronnie Silvera. president: Barbara Taylor. vice
president: Linda Lupher. secretary: Delores Vincente. treasurer: Bonnie Hunt and
Theresa Maddalena. council representatives.
Tony Marques and Linda Lupher reigned over "Springtime in Parisf' the Sopho-
more Hop held March 25. Kathy Autentico was general chairman. Music was pro-
vided by Val Valenteis orchestra.
Their junior year found this energetic class busier than ever. Many more par-
ticipated in sports and extracurricular activities. Outstanding among these were
Victor LoCrasso and Jimmie Mays who were a part of the cheerleading team and
Delores Langston and Bonnie Hunt who were song leaders. Many girls were in the
newly organized drill team.
First semester class officers were Bonnie Hunt. president: Barbara Taylor. vice
president: Linda Lupher. secretary: Pat Dragon. treasurer: and Theresa Maddalena.
